The Forum’s Steering Committee welcomes a select group of up to 44 preeminent private practice lawyers, trustees, tax specialists, banks, accounting firms, and family offices, who advise HNW & UHNW Asia-Pacific families on estates, trusts, and tax law. Using candid, seminar-style discussions, participants explore common issues, exchange ideas, and delve into modern solutions to meet the challenges faced on behalf of their clients.

Paul Knox is a Managing Director and Senior Wealth Advisor of J.P. Morgan Private Bank in Asia. He has been based in Hong Kong since Novemeber 2019. He joined J.P. Morgan over 17 years ago from Ernst and Young LLP where he was a Director and head of the Private Client Services group in London. He was also Chairman and founder of the Ernst & Young International Private Wealth Group.
He has 40 years’ experience in advising wealthy individuals and families on a wide range of family governance and succession planning issues issues as well as domestic and international tax and estate planning.
He also has wide experience in advising philanthropists on both tax and structuring issues in relation to charitable giving. Paul was Vice Chair of the UK Charity Philanthropy Impact for over 10 years.
Mr. Knox graduated from Durham University and practiced as a UK Solicitor. He is a member of the STEP and has served as Co-Chair of its International Committee. He was also a member of the STEP Family Buisiness Committee and the technical committee. He was recently named among the top 150 global advisors in the private wealth community in the Private Client Global Elite Directory. He writes, lectures and participates in webinars on a full range of private client topics on a regular basis.
GEOFFREY CONE
Geoffrey Cone graduated from the University of Canterbury and the University of Otago, New Zealand, with LLB and a post graduate diploma in tax and trust law with honours. He commenced practice in 1980 in Auckland, New Zealand, then moved to Christchurch where he was a partner and the chairman of partners in a leading law firm. There he practised in commercial litigation as well as tax and trust advisory work. He appeared in court at all levels as leading counsel, including the Privy Council.
In 1998 he established his own practice in Auckland, New Zealand. His firm, Cone Marshall Limited, is the only New Zealand law firm to specialise exclusively in international trust and tax planning, and it provides advisors, trustee and trust management services through its affiliated companies, in New Zealand, Switzerland, Italy, Hong Kong, the United States, and Uruguay.
Kristina is a graduate of the University of Toronto and is accredited as a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), a globally recognized badge of excellence in the meeting and event industry. Prior to joining Cambridge Forums, Kristina worked for the Toronto International Film Festival where she successfully planned and hosted events for high-level donors, corporate clients and film stars. Outside the office, Kristina is passionate about learning new things, being outdoors, trying new cuisines and exploring the world one country at a time.
